The report conveys the company’s sustainability approach and actions in making a positive impact on the environment
MIAMI (May X, 2023) – Eagle Property Capital Investments, LLC (“EPC”), a vertically integrated real estate investment manager focused on the value-add multifamily space, has released its 2022 Sustainability Report, titled “Let’s Grow Together,” highlighting its social, environmental, and economic achievements in 2022. This is EPC’s second Sustainability Report reaffirming its commitment to stakeholders and the planet. It includes activities and results of the operations of 25 of the firm’s assets in Texas and Florida.
“With the publication of our second sustainability report, we aim to strengthen the communication and transparency with our stakeholders, consistent with our commitment to sustainable growth aligned to the development of our communities and the preservation of our environment,” stated Gerardo Mahuad, Managing Principal and Co-Founder of Eagle Property Capital.
Strengthening EPC’s business strategy through the inclusion of ESG key indicators has enabled the company to earn recognition as a “Multifamily Influencer” by Globe St.com, Green Lease Leader (Gold) awardee, and Great Place to Work® certified company. EPC is also a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), a global organization of more than 4,300 signatories with over $121 trillion AUM that are committed to incorporating ESG factors in their investment strategy, as well as the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, and a supporter of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial-Disclosures.
Highlights from the report include:
- Obtained Green Lease Leaders Landlord Silver recognition due to the reinforcement of our commitment to ESG and net zero goals.
- Unveiled a Health, Safety, and Wellness program for all our employees, which is currently being implemented this year.
- Developed resilience and climate change risk matrix analyzing each property in the EPC portfolio, to gain a better understanding of the exposure – and how to mitigate it.
- Developed a Property Management Manual and Community Living Manual.
